It's a very odd experience waking up to someone trying to stick his paw up your nose.

Kommissarie F. Curiosa is a female detective in her mid-twenties delving into the baffling yet somehow tantalizing mystery of the Swedish male in Sweden's chilly capital city. She's a modern-day Mata Hari, infiltrating the grisly underworld of dating in a foreign country.
During the course of her investigation, Curiosa discovered that blogs about dating are an excellent way to get dates. Of course, none of her dates were actually with the strong, silent, Nordic type. Her romantic attention was soon captivated to a fellow expat blogger, who took the interesting and unconventional approach of writing odes to Ullrick. Turns out, the way to a girl's heart is through her cat.
This resulted in a suspension of Curiosa's investigation of the strong, silent Nordic type, but not to fear, her new relationship provides plenty of 'blog fodder', much to the dismay of her significant other.

I think it's called pawing, it's a hairy version of fisting. Nasty.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with a feline friend who tries to do weird things.. I've been spared the paw-up-nose variant, but have to contend with the occasional wash-of-ear-with-sandpaper-tongue or quick-nibble-of-nosetip-with-teeth.
This done as short surprise attacks while orbiting head sounding like a belt sander.
Not to mention the persistent attacks on the bed-mice hidden beneath the covers.
Odd, yet somhow endearing :)
Oh, I can relate to that. Been waking up 03, looking up and seeing a cat-face 3 cm from mine. I screamed in total fear, she to and ran out of there like her tail caught on fire.
